Arrival of the First Vessel

3rd Feb 2010 could well be commemorated as the day of arrival of the first vessel to Singatac Offshore Centre.  The 210'-barge "BB 01" arrived on the early morning to deliver almost 680 Tons of materials consisting of the fabricated factory system and the 1000-Ton hydraulic press.  It will probably disappoint some guys since there wasn't any more digits to give inspiration.

 

It was quite an adventure to bring all the stuff down without the temporary jetty (no thanks to our "unfaithful" Liebherr crane!).  But I must say that the planning team, supporting guys in Singapore/Kijang, BIE people, the local Indonesian contractors and our local Indonesian staff really went all out to get this task done and over.   Thanks to all!

 

 
Much has been learnt from this operation and we shall see the arrival of the 2nd vessel on 4th March 2010.
